My love for shoes began long before I knew what style, fashion, or luxury truly meant.
As a little girl, I spent countless hours in my mother's boutique, surrounded by rows of elegant heels and beautiful shoes that sparkled with possibility. Her store became known for carrying stunning footwear for life's most special moments, and I watched women walk through those doors searching for shoes that made them feel confident, beautiful, and unforgettable.
Unknowingly, those moments were shaping the dream that would one day become Charuse.
My sister and I listened to customers share their stories, their excitement, and their anticipation for weddings, celebrations, and milestone moments. At home, beautiful shoes were everywhere—boxes stacked on shelves, colors lined up like a rainbow, and silhouettes that felt like works of art. It was impossible not to fall in love.
But as I grew older, my feet grew too.
Suddenly, the magical world of shoes I adored didn't seem to have room for women like me. The styles I loved weren't available in my size. The elegant heels I admired weren't designed with big-feet girlies in mind.
Shoe shopping went from exciting to discouraging.
Instead of joy, I found frustration.
Instead of options, I found limits.
Instead of confidence, I felt unseen.
For years, I carried the dream of creating my own shoe brand. Life became busy. I built a career, became a mother, and put the dream on hold. Then a back injury made wearing many traditional heels even more difficult, and I realized something important:
The industry wasn't solving this problem because it wasn't paying attention to women like us.
Big-feet girlies deserve beautiful shoes.
Shoes that fit.
Shoes that feel good.
Shoes that never stop at a number.
So I decided to create the brand I needed and the brand so many women have been waiting for.
